Spike Lee: Donald Trump Most Resembles ‘Son of Sam’ Serial Killer

Spike Lee disagrees with Donald Trump’s politics, so that makes him a serial killer. That’s what he suggested in a recent statement to The Hollywood Reporter, anyway.

Before he interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I- VR) for a THR cover story, Lee was asked to compare the 2016 presidential candidates to characters in his films.

When asked, “which Spike Lee character is most like Trump?” Lee responded: “I mean, I did a film called Summer of Sam. It was about the infamous summer of 1977, New York City. And there was a certain person who had the whole city in terror.”

Lee was referring to his 1999 film Summer of Sam, which portrayed the events surrounded the hunt for and capture of Berkowitz, who killed six people and wounded seven others.

Spike Lee’s ridiculous comments are highly insulting, but he’s only following in the footsteps of his Hollywood pals. George Clooney, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jane Fonda have all leveled similar attacks on Trump, with little to no backlash to speak of. If anything, it’s only endeared them to their mindless fans.

Another time Spike Lee attacked Donald Trump as a person that could kill us all by being irresponsible with nukes:
