Patagonia CEO Wages War Against President Trump

Patagonia CEO Rose Marcario has declared war against President Trump. Marcario thought she’d done everything in her power to help Hillary win the election. She even let her employees have time off work and shut down 30 stores in liberal districts to make sure they got to swallow back their pride and in the true Clinton spirit vote for Hillary. That is why she was shocked that Donald Trump won. Marcario had been told Hillary would win and ensure all the Obama era policies protecting the swamps stayed in place.

Donald Trump’s November victory caught Marcario by surprise. Trump had campaigned on bombastic promises to revive the coal industry, a top source of planet-warming emissions, and vowed to transform the U.S. into a major fossil fuel exporter.  He nominated Ryan Zinke, a freshman congressman from Montana who questioned the science behind global warming, to head the Department of the Interior, which controls national parks and 500 million acres of land ― or 20 percent of the U.S. landmass.

The Trump Administration wasn’t going to give a lot of weight to rigged scientific studies paid for by companies profiting from global warming. The outrage and the stupidity of foolish people! Furthermore, President Trump wasn’t going to keep all of Obama’s policies. Which was even more shocking for Marcario… Why? Nobody knows. She is just a liberal.

And Trump made clear that he plans to roll back the environmental rules issued under Obama ― which he has said constrain businesses and stymie job growth.

But Marcario still thought public lands were safe. That tone changed shortly after the election.

Marcario needs to gain a better grasp of the English language because she’s not actually that mad at President Trump.

One of Obama’s final actions was to set aside 1.35 million acres in southeastern Utah to create Bears Ears National Monument, named by the various Native American tribes whose sacred lands it included. The designation riled the state’s Republican leaders, who condemned the designation as a federal land grab and urged the incoming Trump administration to undo it, and mining interests that were looking to tap uranium and mineral deposits in the region.

Marcario is actually mad at Republican politicians in Utah. If the President is responsible for the actions of his entire party and supporter base, than all party members and supporters are also equally responsible for the actions of the president. Don’t seem to recall watching segments of the evening news of parents sitting their children down and explaining how they and President Obama decided to kill all those little children with drones or all the husbands who voted for Bill publicly apologizing to their wives for having no morals or standards when it comes to accepting certain favors from interns. But anyways, Marcario is on a mission to help increase the power of the federal government in attempts to protect the outdoors for future generations.

Patagonia went on the offensive against Utah’s Republican governor and Washington delegation. In January, the company threatened to pull out of Salt Lake City’s biannual Outdoor Retailer Show, a trade show that brings 45,000 visitors spending more than $40 million each year. Marcario pledged to fight the state’s leadership “with everything that we have.” A month later, she pulled out of the show and put intense pressure on its organizers to quit hosting the event in Utah’s capital until state lawmakers halted their assault on Bears Ears.

The Republicans were right. Obama’s creation of Bears Ears was nothing more than a federal land-grab. Liberals won this fight and now have another private training ground for Antifia and other protest groups needing to hide out like cowards in the backwoods of Utah.

But really Marcario’s feat wasn’t that incredible compared to what her liberal counterparts have been doing. Like all those liberal feminist who banded together to fight 1st world 3rd wave feminism problems like a woman being a Republican and owning her own business or Macy’s decision  to drop any association with the Trumps’s after then-candidate Trump dared to suggest America should be like celebrities and the Pope and built a wall around the borders of our lands.

These topics are reflective of larger important issues. The federal seizure of land and the meddling of big businesses into state politics is a distressing development that should not be ignored.
