Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

Last time I looked, Wal Mart is a PUBLIC place. Do you think that you can expect to have privacy in a public place? The only place that you can expect to have any kind of privacy at wal mart is either in the bathroom or the changing room. Too expect privacy anywhere else is, well quite honestly, a special kind of stupid.

Oh no! what are they going to do with that? Try and make a better shopping experience for you and keep people safe and sell their product. Unlike government with that info that will send enforcers after you, take your money and put you in jail if you go against them. I will take my chances with Walmart and do trust them more then gov
Even if this were true, what the hell are they going to do? Make a secure shopping experience for their customers? Learn about its customers to what? Put you in jail or fine you like the government does? Not. They want to make a better shopping experience for its patrons, not throw its customers in a FEMA camp.
