Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

I think they should have facial recognition. That way they can be warned when known shoplifters enter their store. Remember, they wouldn’t need cameras at all if people would stop being such low life thieves.

I noticed these at the entrance of our Wal Mart.
I was a superintendent on a wal mart built last year, didn’t have this. Cross reference these ads with a reputable source.
They are special cameras to watch for anyone wearing a shirt with a confederate flag on it so they can be removed by the PC police
This is NOT just a camera. Wake up. They will know everything about you. Where you live, who your family is, where you work, your interests, and more much, much more. Stores do not need to have all this info on you.
You you believe think this is ok, you are part of the problem.

I doubt they are doing facial recognition. I bet it is just for good face photos for shoplifting ect.
