Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

dont like camera’s on you? you had better stay home almost every business has some from of surveillance and many have alot you have no right to privacy the second you leave your house…anyone can sit across the street and record you its the facts of technology
its not illegal to take picture or video
They just want to get rid of the mean old geezers at the entrances. This way, they can scan you in upon entrance, then say things to you at checkout, like, “Hello there Mike, I see you just got a haircut. Can we offer you some advice on hair care products?”
If you really want to do something about this, then don’t shop at Wal-Mart. Then they won’t have your money to buy and install this technology.
Who are you kidding. They are just getting more of the popular ‘Walmart Shopper’ pictures to amuse us on Facebook. You know, the ones that everyone can’t believe that people would go in public dressed or looking like that! There are just too many people that are controlled by fear. What did one person say, “I knew it was coming.” So what, nothing changed. Just go back to sleep and you will not know the difference because there is no difference. Get real.
only thing I can say is that I question whether this is legit, and if it is its there property they have the right to put in whatever survalence they wish same as you or I.
