Starbucks: We’re Removing Festive Designs To Make Starbucks “A Place Of Sanctuary During The Holidays”

Whether Starbucks wants to admit it or not, their famous Christmas coffee flavors are favored during Christmas time and removing any holiday festive design from their famous red cup does not remove the fact that it is CHRISTMAS!  Business booms for Starbucks during Christmas, yet they spit in their own cup of Joe by choosing not to participate.

Starbucks explained the design in a statement, saying: “Starbucks has become a place of sanctuary during the holidays. We’re embracing the simplicity and the quietness of it. It’s [a] more open way to usher in the holiday.”

But, Tory MP David Burrowes has criticised the move. He told Breitbart London: “The Starbucks coffee cup change smells more of political correctness than a consumer-led change.

This politically correct cup of coffee has backfired on Starbucks before.  Remember when Starbucks encouraged their baristas to have discussions about race with their customers?

Or when a Starbuck’s employee refused to allow a police officer use the restroom?

Or when law abiding coffee patrons were told they could no longer bring their guns into the stores?

Christmas is now on the Starbuck’s politically incorrect list and they are checking it twice.  However in this case there will be coal for the coffee chain, as Christmas shoppers will continue to wish the barista’s a Merry Christmas in spite of the lack of cheer in the company.

Without Christmas and the real reason the entire world celebrates it, Starbucks would just be selling their regular brew all year long.  But thanks to Jesus, we get Starbuck’s Christmas Blend.

Simon Calvert of the Christian Institute told Breitbart London: “What is it about Christmas that Starbucks are afraid of celebrating? Haven’t they heard it’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the season of good will to ALL men? They should get involved and stop being scrooges.”

And more have piled in, with Andrea Williams of Christian Concern saying: “This is a denial of historical reality and the great Christian heritage behind the American Dream that has so benefited Starbucks.
