Humanly speaking,Jesus was to be born in Bethlehem. Not anywhere else. All the sacrificial lambs were bred and born in that province. As he was the perfect lamb of God he was to be the ultimate sacrifice on the cross,a symbol of shame. As the last and perfect sacrifice. As in the new covenant between us sinners and God the Father. Spiritually speaking!
This pope would rather follow his Muslim brothers in shaming the Christ,and beheading him and placing his head on a pike!
Humanly,and spiritually he fulfilled the prophets and his fathers will and commitment to bring salvation to the whole world and all sinners.
