Did you know that there is a “1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act?” Probably not, but then when one considers the volume of legislation created just at the federal level — legislation that remains in force, the normal reaction would be one of astonishment, of being utterly overwhelmed, of one’s eyes just glazing over. No wonder congressmen and senators have no idea what they’re voting on much of the time.
Anyway, apparently we have a crisis of excess horses and burrows running wild in western states. Enter the Bureau of Land Management and a dispute they have with the Humane Society of the United States.
Here’s the crisis in a nutshell for your consideration.
Another reason the national park service should be abolished.
Adopt them
They should euthanize the Obama family instead!!

The government holds millions of acres of land.
What do with them? How about leave them alone like the rest of the wild life.
I’m betting that some developer wants the land and is lobbying, a.k.a. bribing, officials to clear the way.
I think we need to euthanize Obama and his whole camp.

Awful waste…process the meat and ship it to our prisons.

In those protected lands there are no natural predators for the horses to keep population size in check, just like deer. Unlike deer, people are deeply connected to horses on many levels, so hunting season is not as likely. Adoptions and training is a costly and non – viable option. An unchecked population can significantly disrupt the ecological balance with the land and other organisms. In my opinion, loving nature and animals means accepting that death is an essential part of the balance of everything. Don’t get too sentimental, strive for understanding.
