MS-13 Gang Leader Sentenced to 99 Years for Brutal Machete Murder of 14 Year Old Boy

Upon hearing how Granados-Guevara and his hateful cohorts cruelly and coldly dispatched of Meraz, one can’t help but trust that law enforcement will swiftly crack down on MS-13. This would be a most welcome development, as authorities have not dealt with the gang nearly as harshly as they should. Members of the group have been released by police and immigration authorities on the grounds that they haven’t actually committed any crime, in spite of bearing tattoos and other clear symbols of being involved with MS-13. This in turn reflects ICE’s policy of releasing almost 20,000 illegal aliens involved in criminal activity instead of deporting them, something that will keep the ranks of gangs like MS-13 well-stocked with new members:

“Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed that Granados-Guevara was also charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in an unrelated case. Those charges were eventually dismissed. Court records do not show Granados-Guevara’s place of birth or citizenship. However, an immigration hold has been placed on the now convicted murderer. He does not appear to have any prior criminal record in Harris County. The Houston Chronicle reported the man is a citizen of El Salvador but did not list his immigration status.

A defense attorney for the gang leader argued the fellow gang members who testified against their former leader could not be trusted to tell the truth.

Those gang members testified that Granados-Guevara ordered the murder and participated in the vicious attack.

The case was prosecuted by Harris County Assistant District Attorney Greg Houlton who told the jury, ‘Jose Meraz did not realize that every step he took into the woods was another step toward certain death.’”
