Hollywood should cheer to have one of their own, a reality TV star, rise to the presumptive presidential nominee, but if that person is not a social activist progressive, there is no room in their universe for that individual.
George Clooney is one such Hollywood star that hates the idea, nay, hates Trump, as president. As the Clooneys speak out it becomes apparent that “The Clooneys are HUGE Clinton supporters and have hosted an elite and private fundraiser for Hillary in California. The converse is that are also HUGE Trump detractors, with Amal Clooney stating that Trump does not represent “U.S. values”, noted Truth and Action.
Speaking at the premiere of his film “Money Monster” at the Cannes Film Festival Tuesday, the 55-year-old actor predicted that the Republican candidate won’t make it anywhere near the White House.
“There’s not going to be a president Donald Trump,” Clooney said. “It’s not going to happen because fear is not going to be something that drives our country.”
He once said that Hillary Clinton was the only adult in a room full of presidential nominees, whined that he always has to explain Trump to his friends overseas, and even labeled Trump “a fascist.”
Jodie Foster, the director of the Clooney movie, “Money Monster” said that the presidential election was “absurd”.
“I couldn’t make up what’s happening right now!” Foster said. “I mean, it’s absurd. It’s absolutely absurd. If I had put it in a movie they would have thought I was crazy. They would have said it was satire.”
