Federal Welcome Wagon Greets Cubans with Cash, Social Security Cards, Food Stamps, Medicaid

Two experts from the Center for Immigration Studies went to Laredo, Texas to document how Cubans who are crossing into the U.S., getting amnesty and receiving a plethora of free benefits from a Cuban immigrant who runs a storefront “welcome wagon” to help these illegals immediately take advantage of the American taxpayer.  Alejandro Ruiz is the Cuban immigrant face behind this operation.

“The door is wide open. Come and get your free stuff,” is how Jessica M. Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies, sized it up.

In her new blog post, Luna said that there are about 30,000 more Cubans poised to cross the border soon from Latin America.

She highlighted the help Cubans received immediately after crossing the border in Laredo. “As the islanders leave the port of entry at Bridge 1 they are greeted by a banner immediately across the street, which reads ‘Welcome Cubans To The Land of Liberty and Opportunity.’ The welcoming banner hangs from the offices of the non-profit organization Cubanos en Libertad (Cubans in Liberty),” she wrote.

This open border policy of course is compliments of the lawbreaker-in-chief, Obama, who has abused his executive power by ignoring the law of the land and deporting illegals.

Obama also hires thugs and law breakers such as Customs and Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske to carry out his will, reports Truth and Action.  Kerlikowski ironically oversees border protection and the U.S. Border Patrol, and on Tuesday he advised agents who have a problem with Obama’s illegal amnesty program that they should just quit. His remarks came as House GOP leaders announced that they will vote on whether to have their chamber join a lawsuit trying to halt the amnesty program.

Obama would commend Ruiz and his storefront operation, as giving away more of American’s hard earned cash to illegal aliens, as it compliments his own illegal amnesty program.

“Ruiz explained that he takes Cuban migrants to the Health and Human Services offices to get access to TANF (cash welfare), SNAP (food stamps), and Medicaid. During our visit he also showed us two envelopes with Social Security cards ready to be picked up by newly arrived islanders. Additionally, Ruiz gave us a checklist that he gives the migrants, which notes all the documents they need to have in order to acquire a work permit. While the Cubans wait for all their benefits to be in order, Ruiz provides them a place to stay,” wrote Luna.

Not only does Obama have a Border Patrol Commissioner who breaks the law for him and private individuals, but also the new head of the Border Patrol Heather Fong will aid and abet in helping law breakers cross into the United States.

Naturally, Border Patrol personnel are taken aback by the news that she will soon be in charge of them. Truth and Action explains:

“‘The appointment of Heather Fong would prove that the Border Patrol is no longer the enforcement agency that Congress and the American public intended it to be,’ according to a statement released by Brandon Judd, head of the agents’ union.

‘Heather Fong oversaw a sanctuary city, which is directly contrary to our mission. Her appointment would be for political purposes and the trust of the men and woman of the Border Patrol in DHS and CBP leadership would be lost.’”

This border issue is such a hot topic in the primary race and when armed with this information, it makes a change in leadership all the more important.

Vaughan told Washington Examiner’s “Washington Secrets” that “it’s organized lawlessness.” The concern of losing immediate legalization in the U.S., is prompting even Cubans living in Europe to enter as asylees.

“It’s all perfectly legal,” she said. “All they have to prove is that they’re Cuban and don’t have a serious criminal record or prior deportation. The door is wide open, come & get your free stuff,” she added.
