The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
Many Americans are vegetarians. you don’t hear them bitching. Why bown down and give in to islam?
First off, since when does freedom of religion allow you to infringe on other’s freedoms?

I would think Muslims would like the sign as it lets them know that place serves pork and they’d know not to go there.

The woman who was offended by the word Bacon should be more considerate or go back to her Muslim country! We are offended to them and other cultures in our country speaking a foreign language! I have been in the company of them and they are very rude!
