The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

Irene Sophia. Some of your post is correct. However, Christianty was NOT IMPOSED on this country as it was the founding beliefs of this modern country. This is a Christian country no if and or buts about it, just like Saudi Arabia is Islamic!!!!! If we went there and told them to take down offensive signs, I think we would be minus one head!!! So they should not come here expecting different of this country. They can practice what they want but they have no right asking for signs to be removed that are offensive to them, sanity wipes removed from KFC, so much for modern day cleanliness, or giving Sharia lessons to Home Depot on how to treat Muslim customers. You don’t get anything different than the person that came in infront of or behind you PERIOD. MUSLIMS ARE NOT SPECIAL
