Chancellor Merkel: Islam Isn’t the ‘Source of Terror’, Europe Should Take in More Refugees

Angela Merkel of Germany has been especially supportive of encouraging Muslim immigrants to come to her nation. She has persisted with this policy even though it can be plainly shown that by so doing she has lost control of law enforcement and plunged her nation into chaos and violence. Not only that, she has allowed Germany to be a conduit for the migration of Muslims into other parts of Europe.

These are not people who desire to be Germans or Europeans. Nor do they wish to show their appreciation for being able to enter these countries by assimilating into existing cultures. They will remain distinct in cultural, religious, and even legal practices.

What is so astonishing is Mrs. Merkel’s single-minded compulsion to bring the Islamic culture to her nation. It’s not even enough for her to employ an open-immigration policy, but she has supported making it illegal to criticize Islam, a direct assault on the western idea of freedom of speech.

Chancellor Merkel of Germany has seen her popularity fall as competing politicians gain favor. It’s no surprise.

The embattled leader says Europe has an obligation to take displaced people from Syria and Iraq.

She also said Islam “is not the cause of terrorism” and that combatting extremism needs the cooperation of Muslim countries.

In a wide-ranging speech at a Munich security conference, the German chief also vowed to work closely with Vladimir Putin’s Russia in the fight with ISIS in the Middle East.

Mrs Merkel has come under fire for taking in up to one million refugees amid security concerns and a string of migrant sex attacks across Germany.

After the Berlin lorry attack at a Christmas market in December, ex-UKIP leader Nigel Farage said events such as that will be “Merkel’s legacy”.

As things deteriorate in Germany, Mrs. Merkel is going to have much more than just that one attack to mark her legacy. The existence of Germany as a distinct nation-state and culture might be brought to an end. Could that actually be her goal?
