It seems like Pope Francis is determined to see that his papacy is marked by an extraordinary level of controversy, much of it generated by him within the Catholic Church itself. While the Christian faith is no stranger to theological disputes since its inception 2,000 years ago, some periods have obviously been marked by more vigorous debates than others, much to the regret of devoted adherents to the Faith.
Yet Pope Francis doesn’t seem to be troubled by being the center of some very divisive disputes, or the fact that he is the one who has created them.
He has taken a strong position in favor of open immigration, and has made statements on theology that are in direct opposition to historic Christian doctrine such as his proclamation that all religions worship the same god.
He recently took a very charitable and supportive position on Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro, an avowed atheist, who just died.
But this time he may have really done it. See page two.

LOL. All Catholics betrayed Jesus Christ. The Catholic religion turned more people away from Jesus, than any Religion known to mankind. The Pope is the man of sin.

Mike Lawler So you are saying that Jesus went around telling people that we all worship the same God and it’s no difference in Christians God and Muslims god? Or did you miss that speech by the pope… Wake up man as many Catholics have…If Christ went around saying that then the purpose of his words were fruitless.

Charles Wilson – I didn’t say anything about Christians – the POPE and his church leaders act as if they are God on earth …. NO ONE can forgive us of our sins – other than GOD/Jesus Christ … worshipping statues and praying to statues is nothing short of idolatry…. Christians are to behave to exemplify Christ’s teachings… not HIM.
Yes. The Pope betrays Jesus daily. He accepts othe relgions as he demonstrates his beleif that the blood sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary is not necessary for remissiin of your sin or theirs. The Pope is anti-Christ in every way possible.
It is their history – after all, a Roman Emperor designated the first Roman Catholic Pope. So, nothing new here.
