It seems like Pope Francis is determined to see that his papacy is marked by an extraordinary level of controversy, much of it generated by him within the Catholic Church itself. While the Christian faith is no stranger to theological disputes since its inception 2,000 years ago, some periods have obviously been marked by more vigorous debates than others, much to the regret of devoted adherents to the Faith.
Yet Pope Francis doesn’t seem to be troubled by being the center of some very divisive disputes, or the fact that he is the one who has created them.
He has taken a strong position in favor of open immigration, and has made statements on theology that are in direct opposition to historic Christian doctrine such as his proclamation that all religions worship the same god.
He recently took a very charitable and supportive position on Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro, an avowed atheist, who just died.
But this time he may have really done it. See page two.
He is called the “Black Pope” for a reason. He was raised by Socialists.
I believe in St Malarchy’s prophecy of the last Black Pope. he will defy the faith. Much like Bishop Sheen predicted too.

Sarah, I don’t know everyone, but I do know that as good and faithful asctheybate, not one Roman Catholic I know reads the scripture. Theyvdo novenad, attend mass, and are devoted to there church, but do not study the word of God, rather have it translated for them.so they will not question because they don’t know there is a problem.
In Thess2-2, it tells of the great spirit of delusion that will decieve many. That spirit has been at work for a long time, and is really getting stronger these days.
How anyone could think it’s OK for the communist government to be able to determine who leads Catholics in China is beyond me. This is deplorable.

Mike Lawler Jesus was always mad at the priests. He died so we could talk directly to God. That’s why the veil tore after he died. It showed that we never need a priest again.
