It seems like Pope Francis is determined to see that his papacy is marked by an extraordinary level of controversy, much of it generated by him within the Catholic Church itself. While the Christian faith is no stranger to theological disputes since its inception 2,000 years ago, some periods have obviously been marked by more vigorous debates than others, much to the regret of devoted adherents to the Faith.
Yet Pope Francis doesn’t seem to be troubled by being the center of some very divisive disputes, or the fact that he is the one who has created them.
He has taken a strong position in favor of open immigration, and has made statements on theology that are in direct opposition to historic Christian doctrine such as his proclamation that all religions worship the same god.
He recently took a very charitable and supportive position on Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro, an avowed atheist, who just died.
But this time he may have really done it. See page two.

This is too funny. Have any of you actually looked into what has been going on in China and the Church? What the agreement between the Pope and China is?
The new agreement restores the Church’s authority over the Bishops in China, and allows for the Pope to veto and recommended Bishops.
“In recent years, because of government requirements, the priests, nuns and lay people of Chinese dioceses have elected their new bishops. Most of those elected have applied to the Holy See for approval.
Cardinal Tong said the Sino-Vatican dialogue indicates that China now will “let the Pope play a role in the nomination and ordination of Chinese bishops.” Since, under Church law, the Pope has the final say in the appointment of bishops, this would solve several problems, he said.
“Beijing will also recognize the Pope’s right of veto and that the Pope is the highest and final authority in deciding on candidates for bishops in China,” he said.”

Wow I did not know all this, but Scriptures do say that in the last days even those “called” will be deceived.
True followers of Christ would recall Matthew 16:
