Despite building an artificial island with the intent to militarize it, China is bristling at the US for passing a naval warship within miles of disputed islands in the South China Sea.
Of course, this may just be the usual rhetoric of a nation of communists who have historically done everything they could to save face when they are embarrassed.

Who cares about China, they can not just dump tons and tons of dirt in the ocean and turn around to the world and say…”OK, we just found these islands and they are ours”…

Step back and look at the bigger picture. We had three or four explosions in China in less then a month, say about two months back. They bring their navy up by Alaska for a swing by when Obama was up there. Now we have ships on their doorstep. In the meantime Russia is smashing ISIS in the middle east. This is a delicate situation too say the least, similar to the Cuba missile crisis and all the world leaders are walking on eggshells. But in the end I think if anything we are seeing a modern day cold setting up. Not sure what China’s agenda is however, as no matter what anyone tells you, they love owning our land and debt from a far. As I say why bite the hand which feeds, as if they start a world war with the USA, they can watch their already teetering economy wither that much more, minus us buying their goods and services. As far as Russia goes, I don’t think their agenda is too start world war III, even though it lines up eerily with bible prophecy. I think Puttin just wants to slow down the expansion of radical Islam, as he sees it spreading like a cancer from within like a virus for any country who let’s it in and tolerates it, and apparently he is the only one who truly sees the threat from within and is the only one willing ro do anything about it…..

Never fight a ground war in Asia! That said sink the ships ground the planes and the threat level drops to near zero. If a country can’t deploy it’s soldiers then the number of soldiers is no longer relevant.
Actually that they can do. What they can’t do is draw a line 12 miles out from the mainland northern border joining the islands 12 miles out then back to the southern mainland and say ok that’s all China. If the U.S. Did that the Pacific Ocean is basically all ours. China has to recognize that this is not how the world identifies territorial waters!
