Mia Higginbotham, a wife and mother to a young girl, was recently arrested at Liberty International Airport in Elizabeth, NJ, for lawful possession of her own firearm. Her legally acquired handgun was packed in its original box, separate of any ammo, and locked in her hard-sided luggage.

Smokie Bear I totally agree!
when is it enough people?
I hope someone come to her defense!!! Someone who carries some weight in our government!!
remove these worthless judges
Actually, she didn’t do everything correctly as far as New Jersey law goes. New Jersey has some of the most draconian gun laws in this country. Most people are not even aware that the state does not even recognize title 18 of the U.S. Codes, section one, chapter 44, paragraph 926a. Even if she was a resident of New Jersey, it was illegal for her to transport the firearm in her car to the airport without the proper license. I am not defending the system, it needs to be changed. A similar thing happened a while back to a young mother from Philadelphia. She drove into New Jersey with her gun in the car. She was stopped by a NJ state trooper and when she told him she had a PA license to carry and was carrying, she was promptly arrested. Governor Christy eventually pardoned her.
Best rule of thumb, don’t take a gun anywhere near NJ.
to the lawgivers and “justice dispensers”, we ARE keeping names for treason trials.
How in the Hell doyou get Ten years for a legal gun? Just stupid!
She is clearly being used as an example and a threat to other gun owners. Even if you obey the law, they will do everything to ruin your life and make you pay if you don’t give up your right to bear arms.
Should not have happened!!!
GOD BLESS HER!
