Weaponized Ethnic Extinction at the Genetic Level

ETC Group’s Thomas was alarmed by the implications of the US military being involved in genetic studies that could possibly point to a weaponized form of DNA alteration.  Thomas pointed out that Craig Venter, founder of Celera Genomics, The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) and the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) had claimed the creation of a cell with the very first synthetic genome (full DNA strand).  The cell is called “Synthia” and ETC Group did a short video on the drastic implications of this work by Venter.

This concern for work by Venter and others like him led Thomas to begin looking at the Enmod Convention of the United Nations (stands for Environmental Modifications).  Basically, the idea behind the convention is how genetically modifying the environment for the “good of mankind” could possibly lead to disaster on a global level.  Ya’ think?

Aside from the biowarfare aspect, some UN experts, worry about unintended consequences of operationalizing this technology.

Cutting-edge gene editing tools such as Crispr-Cas9 work by using a synthetic ribonucleic acid (RNA) to cut into DNA strands and then insert, alter or remove targeted traits. These might, for example, distort the sex-ratio of mosquitoes to effectively wipe out malarial populations.

“You may be able to remove viruses or the entire mosquito population, but that may also have downstream ecological effects on species that depend on them,” one UN expert told The Guardian.

This is Jurassic Park all over again.

Thomas made the leap in logic at this point that, if the US Air Force was studying the differences in healthy and sick individuals of the same ethnicity, there was one stunning and horrible conclusion he reached.

Turn to the final page to find out how this terrible marriage of military might and genetic analysis led to the discovery of a weapon so frightening as to literally spell the end of all mankind!
