Walmart has been installing facial recognition cameras at eye level in the entrances of their new store fronts for some time now. These cameras not only have the ability to cross reference you with social media networks to put a name with the face, but utilzes software that has the ability to ascertain a great many things about the environment. How much exactly is unknown, but in the video on the next page you can see that it not only tracks faces, but can categorize objects and motion.

These idiots with the “there only cameras for safety ” take a look around have you ever seen any palace put cameras at eye level.your clearly missing the point its about the positioning of them. They are not a regular camera Walmart has plenty of those already and they are all alot higher so they can get a larger area

They’re security cameras, to catch the face of shoplifters wearing hoodies/hats and trying to avoid getting caught. They are monitored by an $#%&!@*et protection $#%&!@*ociate. They aren’t used for anything else.
