Trump Release of Bin Laden Documents Reveals Obama Collusion and Incompetence

Barring the fact that the FNIC outright refused to print even a single critical word about the Obama administration, the Republicans pushed back on the many half-truths, alternative facts, and misstatements by the president and attempted to paint him in the proper truthful light.  That was an effort that would prove fruitless because they were not only combatting the angelic image being put forth by the FNIC, nor merely the incarnation of the Limbaugh Theorem, but they were bashing their collective heads up against the wall of a massively corrupt intelligence Deep State community that didn’t care a wit about Congressional power or authority.

In fact, to this day, the FBI continues to operate as what Tucker Carlson calls “its own country.”  An organization that falls directly under the authority of the Department of Justice which, in turn, falls directly under the authority of the Commander-In-Chief, Donald Trump, defies repeated requests by its own bosses, let alone Congressional officials, and is withholding information that is required by House and Senate committees attempting to look into multiple charges of misconduct of both the Obama administration and the intelligence community.

Is it any wonder that they were instrumental in enabling a coward president to hide his weaknesses?

Republicans volubly disputed the president’s more laughable claims—the attack on the Benghazi compound was just a protest gone bad, al Qaeda was on the run, ISIS was the terrorist junior varsity—but the establishment media, certain that Obama’s predecessor had consistently exaggerated the threat, showed little interest in challenging Obama or the intelligence agencies that often supported his spurious case.

ODNI dismissively swatted away questions about the absurd claims in the release with absurd claims about the document collection itself: The unreleased documents weren’t interesting or important, just terrorist trash of little interest to anyone. The documents being withheld would do little to enhance our understanding of al Qaeda or the jihadist threat more generally, they said.

This is what the politicization of intelligence looks like.

The entire push to hide the documents recovered by the bin Laden raid was, pure and simple, an effort to get Barack Hussein Obama reelected.  He was being hammered by Republicans for being soft on terror, with an ACTUAL inability to bring himself to call terrorists what they actually were:  radical Islamist jihadists.  Instead, he opted for the yellow-streak version of “enemy combatants.”  Additionally, he insisted that everyone in the administration (and afterward, the entire government structure) to refer to these murderous cowards the same way.  In fact, this was going on at the same time that he and his shadow weasels in the various departments were scurrying about pronouncing his verdict that the real threat in America was the “Right-wing Conservative Christian” who believed in the 2nd Amendment!  As if the 2nd Amendment were a fairytale!

In the spring of 2012, with the Republican presidential primaries nearing an end and shortly before the first anniversary of the successful raid on bin Laden’s compound, Obama’s National Security Council hand-picked 17 documents to be provided to the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point for analysis. (Obama’s NSC would later hold back two of those documents. One of them, laying out the deep ties between the Afghan Taliban and al Qaeda leadership, would complicate Obama administration efforts to launch negotiations with the Taliban, according to an explanation the NSC’s Doug Lute offered to West Point.) The West Point documents were shared with Obama-friendly journalists. Their conclusion was the only one possible, given the documents they were provided: At the time of his death, Osama bin Laden was frustrated and isolated, a relatively powerless leader of a dying organization. In the summer and fall of 2012, Obama would use this theme as the main national security rationale for his reelection: Al Qaeda was alternately “on the run” or “decimated” or “on the path to defeat.”

Read on the following page about how the Obama administration actually shelved the 470,000 documents, amazingly choosing to leave them untranslated and unscrubbed, and, in essence, denying the intelligence community from gaining valuable and usable information that could literally save the lives of our troops and our citizens!
