This past March 7, the National Guard in South Carolina performed door-to-door ‘wellness checks’ in an state-wide drill entitled Operation Vigilant Guard. The stated purpose was to prep for a Category 4 hurricane disaster.
Overall, around 2,000 military personnel and 5,000 persons from the South Carolina emergency management divisions participated.
This certainly harkens back to Hurricane Katrina disaster, where the National Guard and local law enforcement confiscated guns door-to-door.

I have a tremendous respect for our military. However, I would not comply. And neither should anyone in the military.

I wish you’d let off a claymore towards your own National Guard. See what happens..
I find this to be complete an total bs I was in the guard an did hurricane duty in louisiana an we never did this nor would we be give a order to unarm our own people. I feel personally all this bs is to make people buy more guns ammo an other things to make these manufacturers richer an everything i am also no longer in the military an still highly doubt this cause we are sworn in under oath to protect the citizens of louisiana from all enemies foreign an domestic but if this was to happen no one will take my guns an I will go down fighting
