This past March 7, the National Guard in South Carolina performed door-to-door ‘wellness checks’ in an state-wide drill entitled Operation Vigilant Guard. The stated purpose was to prep for a Category 4 hurricane disaster.
Overall, around 2,000 military personnel and 5,000 persons from the South Carolina emergency management divisions participated.
This certainly harkens back to Hurricane Katrina disaster, where the National Guard and local law enforcement confiscated guns door-to-door.

They’re saving the best for last.
They’re more than welcome to come ask if I’m well, doesn’t mean I have to agree to an interview or search. F that.
National guard isn’t after you weapons people forget that they are citizens themselves when they aren’t drilling we want the same things as everyone else
Lol try and stop them.
You people will believe anything you read. The people on these “news” sites are just trying to rile you all up into thinking big bad Uncle Sam wants your guns. Fact; it’s called hurricane response training. Multiple STATE agencies worked together with the national guard to conduct the exercise. Next time you want to lose your mind and get all “they ain’ts gonna take mah guns I tell ya what!!” think first, and do some research. Believing an unsourced article from some guy who wants to scare you is not really the intelligent thing to do. And threatening to kill a US soldier for knocking on your door is just plain ignorant.
