Needville High School in Texas suspended Mason Michelac after his refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance as a protest against big government.
“I’m really tired of our government taking advantage of us,” said Michalec in a statement to KHOU. “I don’t agree with the NSA spying on us. And I don’t agree with any of those Internet laws.”
In protesting against our authoritarian government he runs into an authority trying to limit his first amendment rights.
I wish there is more young man like you in this country ,God bless you
At least not all of his generation has been brainwashed !!!
I DON’T LIKE BIG GOVERNMENT BUT THAT IS NO REASON TO DISRESPCT THE FLAG
need more like him !!they are the future generation !!~
The problem is standing for “The Pledge of Allegiance” is not about “government control” but about respecting the flag. If this student doesn’t respect his flag, then he has no business being in school. I wouldn’t have suspended him, I would have kicked him out permanently.
This kid is right on track, I salute him
I like this kid. He has a rebellious spirit, we need more of that these days instead of go along to get along
Agree with Neale. This is about respect for this country as it was established by people who loved our land and wanted the best for it.
But by not saying the pledge,he also says that he doesn’t want to change the present $#%&!@*s in the Whitehouse. But there should not be a punishment for not being patriotic.Just know he is like those he is against.
Why does he HAVE to say a pledge? I thought america was about freedom of choice, was when I was hus age.
