Parents are peeved at the new pick up policy for their children at Bear Branch Elementary in Magnolia, Texas. Even if one’s home is directly across the street from the school, the school mandates that the parent must get into the car and get in line with the hundreds of other vehicles, no walk up kid pick up allowed.
Under the banner of safety for children, the school neglected to think about the lunacy found in the unintended consequences of their noble idea. Only by bus or car, can a parent send and retrieve their children, no longer can a child hold a parent’s hand to walk four doors down to and from school.
The inconvenience is also found in the hour long lines of cars to pick up the students. One parent told KPRC 2 News that parents begin to line up at 2:30 for a 3:25 dismissal time.

The school doesn’t own the kids. Maybe it will come down to a case of kidnapping before common sense enters into it.
What has this world come to? The school can’t tell you$#%&!@* If you want to walk your kid home DO IT !! Just remind them that you pay there salarys, and you will decide what’s best for your kids. If they have a problem with that QUIT, it’s that simple.
Not allow parents? This isn’t a socialist country and our children belong to the parents.
