For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

Sooooo, he doesn’t think law abiding citizens should have the right to own a gun so law enforcement officers can better determine who is a bad guy??? It isn’t the law abiding gun owners who are dangerous. It’s the criminals. Too many times innocent people die because the cops couldn’t get there in time to save them. An armed citizen can protect themselves & there property. Not to mention, as long as we have our weapons, we will remain free of a tyrannical government.
I think we need a California ban.

I respect all police but it is hypocritical if anyone carrying a gun to deny that right to others. I don’t care that Wyatt Earp did it, he was wrong too.

I’ve said this plenty of times. Guns are about equality. I weigh about 240 pounds and a 110 pound woman won’t stand a chance against me. But give her a gun then my size and strength mean nothing. That right their is true down and dirty equality. Gun control is the real war on women. 1957 Monroe NC, the KKK had surrounded a black doctors house and wanted to lynch him. The newly formed black gaurd which was made up of armed black got together and chased the KKK out of their neighborhood without firing a shot. Rabbit hunts not so fun when the rabbit is armed. Once again,down and dirty equality. The KKK was also one of the first gun control groups to exist. I also find it funny that the places with the strictest gun control laws also seem to have a high population of minorities. Looks like liberals just don’t want blacks and other minorities to defend themselves.
