For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

Someone take that man’s gun. Let’s see how he likes being unarmed.
Hey, anybody remember how well having armed “good guys with guns” running around worked out during the Dallas cop shootings? The police didn’t know who to go after because a bunch of Chuck Norris-wannabe overcompensators tried to help. I’m actually okay with people like that getting shot (I think of it as Darwinism in action), but I completely see the chief’s point.
Sure! Go to the houses of people with felonies and take THEIR GUNS!! Lol
He is no police chief, if he spouting off about gun control. Hello look at Chicago you moron. He is a disgrace to law enforcement.
What we need is to fire us a liberal police chief…
No, we need to gather up the gangs put them through boot camp and teach them how to handle weapons & send them to the front lines and let them face real war.
You have no clue what the hell youre talking about….just do your job and stfu….
This guy is an idiot
F that guy. T
Well, then arrest some fun carrying felons and get more guns off the street. I guess he can’t do his job without another law.
