For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

I think i agree with the San Jose Police Chief,,, and he should start with his p/d,, have his department turn in all their gun’s . When done give me a call and i will be right over to pick them up and bring them to Louisiana..A state the support it’s citizens right to keep and bear arms..

Which part is nonsense?
My friend works with troubled youth. He is in the prisons, at the schools, in the churches, and at their homes. When younger, he almost became a gang member, he told me some nice church ladies saved his life. We have had many discussions and he is the one that explained the juvenile justice system and the gang members being the surrogate parents . The other comes from fed data.
When you see crime stories in the news, do a little research, inevidibly, they almost always have previous criminal history, and that means more victims !!

Another brilliant administrator. You don’t make citizens safer by disarming them. The 2nd amendment was put into place to protect the citizen from their government. I’m glad I don’t work for this piece of work.

Fight fire with fire..I would have lost a very close family member if she was not armed. This is a blatant political declaration to please a elitist segment to further his career financially. Everyday there’s a home invasion in his city where he protects gangs and most of the victims are unarmed. Gangs are living cozy and planning their next robbery, murder thanks to sanctuary cities and law enforcement who allow it by blaming the lawful citizens who have to arm themselves because those who are paid to do so are ineffectual.
So who has the guns? Law abiding citizens…or criminals? You are not getting mine. How about getting the illegals out if the country? And how about Islamics who are pushy. What about sanctuary cities where criminal activity is promoted by leftists? No…you need to go after the criminals. Not law abiding citizens!
