For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

Love my M4. I don’t have it for home protection although it could be used for that purpose. I use at the gun range for fun. I know dozens of people who own AR 15 type weapons. Not a single one used maliciously but instead for hunting or like me at the gun range. I own hand guns to along with another rifle. Your car you drive is more dangerous than any of my guns
I believe ANY crime conviction using a gun should receive a 20 year sentence …. no plea bargaining allowed…. just put them away. Build more prisons… repeat offender….life. Fight crime with a punishment that will make people think twice about committing a cowardly act. Make them get a job….

Hell . The hughes amendment . ( the one banning the sale of newly made automatic weapons ) is pretty useless . It was last minute garbage added into the firearms owners protection act or else the opposing party refused to pass a common sense piece of legislation that protected citizens . At that time only one crime had been committed with a legally owned full auto weapon. If memory serves it was a cop shooting his wife and her lover
