The words “red line” have now become almost meaningless thanks to a statement made by Russia and Iran this week.
Russia and Iran aren’t the first nations to misuse the term. That distinction goes to Barack Obama. In 2012, then-president Obama issued a “red line” warning against Bashar al-Assad: If Assad uses chemical weapons, the United State military will respond.
But Assad did — and Obama didn’t.
Four-and-a-half years later, Donald Trump finally made good on Obama’s promise, but the damage had already been done. The “red line” was already viewed as a farce.
But this week, Iran and Russia are bringing the term back. This time, however, they’re using it against the United States.

Something’s wrong here
Recently Russia came out and claimed this was a false flag event, and that another is being planned to make Syria look bad.
Couple points on this:
It could be true. There are rumors that the sarin was brought in by Turkey. This does not diminish our reasoning on attacking the base- because the message we sent was loud and clear.
But, Turkey, a NATO ally with the 2nd-most largest NATO-committed Troops, HAS TURNED.
Last year, we in the US watched an attempted coup in Turkey. US MSM reports it failed. But it didn’t.
In the Middle East, it is called “The Palace Coup” where President Erdogen ousted the Prime Minister.
Erdogen is dismantling Ataturks legacy of secularism, and giving rise to his neo-Ottoman empire ambitions, placing Turkey in the heart of the new Caliphate, and himself as “Sultan Erdogen”.
After the Palace coup victory, he was celebrated by Hamas, Isis, Iran, and elevated the status of the Muslim Brotherhood. During the revelries, they even called him as-such, “Sultan” Erdogen.
This should be a huge warning sign of the changing world-scape and our fight against radicals.
