Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

We are REGRESSING back to the Revolutionary War! There is no need for cops to have bayonets! This is not Japan nor are we still in a Revolutionary war or any combat situation that requires the use of them. I see anyone coming at me with a bayonet, they better be able to outrun a bullet!!
