Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

Because the government is counting on the idea that if they say “round them up, boys” that the cops and military will actually do it. I think the feds will get quite the surprise when they try that one.
