Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel announced on their cities’ website that 23,000 city jobs, volunteer positions and internships were now open to the DREAMers, the children of immigrants illegally here in the US.
DREAMers is an acronym for the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act.

In a posting on the city’s website, Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that the Windy City’s 23,000 jobs, volunteer positions and internships were now open to the DREAMers, the children of immigrants illegally in the country, Breitbart reported. DREAMers refers to the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act, which currently is in limbo in Washington.
Pro-amnesty Congressman Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., no stranger to controversy, said in the announcement that these students “are an integral part of Chicago’s workforce of tomorrow. Once again, the City of Chicago and Mayor Rahm Emanuel are leading the way on the inclusion of our immigrant communities.”
In “justifying’ his preference for young people here illegally over citizen-students who would vie for the opportunities, Emanuel wrote, “Chicago is a city that was built by immigrants and I am committed to ensuring that DREAMers have the same opportunities offered by the City to all of Chicago’s youth.” His posting laments the barriers that young people here illegally face in landing jobs.
To alleviate these obstacles, the former Obama chief-of-staff allotted extra funds and harnessed the city’s considerable resources – the Office of New Americans, the Department of Family and Support Services, and the Department of Human Resources – to coordinate outreach activities and information campaigns, Breitbart reported.
Of course, the fact that these youngsters are not citizens and not legally eligible for these fellowships, internships, volunteer positions and jobs counts for naught, when circumventing the law has been made kosher by the President of the United States himself.
Emanuel’s pandering to illegals confirms the long-range Democratic plan, to ingrain a widespread general amnesty into the land, and insure an ever-growing Democratic voting base for the future.

Isn’t this just another affirmative action? Give jobs based on your race rather than on your ability. Why are our officials constantly spitting on us. We vote, pay taxes, support our schools and communities and the politicians are treating us like Illegal Americans. When do we start following law?
I still do not understand how the child og an illegal alien can be an American when the parent was breaking the law by being here. How can an Illegal act be made into a legal one? ONLY BY US IGNORING IT. If they and their children want to be here then they should be registered as Americans in Process and earn the right. They should be on a probation that makes sure they are conforming to their new responsibilities as US Citizens.Working and paying their taxes. They must not harbor illegals or break any significant laws. If they park illegally then they pay a fine but stealing, murdering, violent or drug trafficking crimes and they are jailed and deported and not allowed a do over. They and their children are out.
Do not leave them in INS Jail drop them at the border and good luck. They should be bio-metrically registered and ousted. It is nit an issue. They shouldn’t be here send them home. I listened in at an immigration deportation court and was amazed at how much we were willing to spend to incarcerate a deportee but even when it was cheaper we wouldn’t ship them home. There was a Russian family that had been deported three times already that kept coming back under different passports. They ran scams and general thefts until caught. Plead guilty, paid their way back to Russia and returned a few months later to do it all over again. Their beautiful daughter would get an American gentleman to sponsor her as his new bride, pay for her and her family to come here and then rip him off, His friends and disappear. The would run prostitution scams and thefts till we sent them home. Then do it again. They and their friend were stealing fortunes and we kept letting it happen.
I do not believe that we need a physical giant fence because more people actually come in through Canada rather than Mexico. But we can protect ourselves electronically and through good data base management. DNA doesn’t change cheaply. Make them Americans on Probation or send them home. He lies just like obama. When I lived in Ohio I visited Chicago one time and only lasted two days and got the hell out of there. That is one of the nastiest cities besides Detroit that I have ever visited and don’t plan on ever going back.
