Obama Urges Troops to ‘Protest’ Against Trump’s Authority, Suggests ‘Criticizing the President’

With Obama taking such a negative attitude toward the US armed forces, it’s tough to imagine what might be going through these people’s thoughts when being addressed by this president.  He just addressed troops at MacDill Air Force Base, telling them that they have the right to protest authority and criticize the president.  This is sort of convenient now that Obama will be leaving office in a bit over a month.

In an attempt to stem the damage being done by Obama and his fellow progressives, and “Disturbed by the possibility of revolt within the armed forces due to lingering tensions regarding the election, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford urged servicemen to remember their duty is to their nation first.”

And here’s one of Mr. Obama’s attempts to sabotage things for Mr. Trump.  Could this be a call by a sitting president for the troops to commit mutiny?

At the end of his speech, in remarks clearly aimed at his successor, Obama said he wanted to remind troops “what it is that you’re fighting for.”

“The United States of America is not a country that imposes religious tests as a price for freedom. We’re a country that was founded so that people could practice their faiths as they choose.

“The United States of America is not a place where some citizens have to withstand greater scrutiny or carry a special ID card or prove that they’re not an enemy from within. We’re a country that has bled and struggled and sacrificed against that kind of discrimination and arbitrary rule here in our own country and around the world.

“We’re a nation that believes freedom can never be taken for granted. And that each of us has a responsibility to sustain it; the universal right to speak your minds and to protest against authority; to live in a society that’s open and free; that can criticize our president without retribution.”

What Mr. Obama misses in his zeal to set traps for Mr. Trump, is that Trump is not going to poison his relationship with the military nor will he create a hostile environment with them.  So as with so many other things, once Mr. Obama is out of office and Donald Trump takes over, we can anticipate an improvement in the relationship between the members of the armed sources and their commander-in-chief.
