Even as Pope Francis flew back to Rome, President Obama immediately issued a stern warning to Christians, threatening them that their attempts to assert their religious liberty to oppose gay rights will fail.
“We affirm that we cherish our religious freedom and are profoundly respectful of religious traditions,” he falsely insisted during a dramatic speech at a LGTB fundraiser in New York City on Sunday night. He glowingly praising the progress made on gay rights under his administration. “But we also have to say clearly that our religious freedom doesn’t grant us the freedom to deny our fellow Americans their constitutional rights.”

this is coming from an atheist… so i hope you religious people appreciate my support agreeing with you all that no matter what you guys believe… how is it that statistically speaking??? gay rights are more important when there’s more people following religion than people actually being gay??? i’m all for gays wanting to be equally miserable as a straight married couple if they want to be but i’m not agreeing with this statement that gay rights are more important than religious freedoms…
