Obama DOJ Let Russian Lawyer Into USA Without Visa, Let Her Overstay Her Allotted Time

When she attempted to secure a visa to enter the United States, Ms. Veselnitskaya was initially turned down. She finally gained admittance by securing a parole letter from the Justice Department that gave her a limited time frame (October 2015 to January 2016) in which to assist a client who had a legal matter pending in the United States.

The order allowing her to enter was signed by U.S. Attorney Preet Bhahara, who since has been dismissed by President Donald Trump and become a vocal opponent of the president. He was acting at the direction of Attorney General Lynch.

The Moscow lawyer had been turned down for a visa to enter the U.S. lawfully but then was granted special immigration parole by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the limited purpose of helping a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv, her client, defend itself against a Justice Department asset forfeiture case in federal court in New York City.”

Federal prosecutors describe the granting of parole immigration as extremely rare.

In October the government bypassed
the normal visa process and gave a type of extraordinary
permission to enter the country called immigration parole,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Monteleoni explained to the judge during a hearing on Jan. 6, 2016.”

Monteleoni said AG Lynch authorized the action in order to get Veselnitskaya’s client to testify.

What Justice Department and State Department officials are now unable to explain is how and why Ms. Veselnitskaya was able to stay in the United States so long after the expiration of the parole immigration letter in January 2016. This discrepancy has caught the attention of a prominent U.S. Senator.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has demanded the U.S. government provide him all records on how Veselnitskaya entered and traveled in the U.S., a request that could shed additional light on her activities.”

Making the story even more bizarre it how Veselnitskaya used subterfuge to secure the meeting with Donald Trump, Jr., and then five days later showed up in the front row of a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Russian policy right behind former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, who was testifying.

Or, how she attended a dinner at the Capitol Hill Club where Representative Dana Rohrabacher, chairman of the House subcommittee overseeing Russian policy, was present.

At this point, Ms. Veselnitskaya and Dellums were making the rounds to lobby for changes in the Magnitsky Act, which imposed financial sanctions on Russia.   That law prompted Russian President Vladimir Putin to suspend all U.S. adoptions of Russian children.

There’s zero doubt that she and her U.S. colleagues were lobbying to repeal Magnitsky or at least ensure his name was removed from the global law Congress was considering,” said U.S. businessman William Browder, who was the main proponent for the Magnitsky Act and who filed a FARA complaint against Veselnitskaya, Dellums and other U.S. officials, claiming they should have registered as foreign agent lobbyists because of the work.”

A FARA complaint alleges violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

Donald Trump, Jr., has acknowledged the Magnitsky Act was the sole topic of his meeting with the Russian lawyer, who seemed interested only to find a way to lift sanctions so adoptions could begin again.

As a result of the Trump meeting, the DOJ and FBI then would have been able to go to court and get a FISA warrant to allow wiretapping of the Trump Organization in Trump Tower.

Recent reports have surfaced that tie Veselnitskaya to Fusion GPS, the shadowy firm that put together the spurious dossier on Donald Trump alleging all sorts of outrageous things that are easily disproven. In addition, her Facebook postings put her in John McCain’s Senate office in December 2015. Of course, McCain passed along the Fusion GPS dossier to the FBI.

It’s no stretch that the Obama/Clinton dirty tricks team could get the Russian lawyer’s cooperation to set up the sting on Trump Jr. in return for ignoring her overstay in the United States.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave to entice the Fake News media to spread tall tales. There’s much more here than meets the eye.
