Lately, the outgoing president can’t seem to make up his mind about whether race relations have gotten better or worse since his election. When he’s talking about Trump, he claims that it has gotten worse. But when he’s bragging about himself, he claims they have gotten better.
This week, Obama is in full bragging mode. Despite referencing tense police-minority relations, internet hate speech, and recent race crimes, he still managed to claim that race relations have gotten better under his presidency during an interview with the press.
