In his ongoing brilliance, Rush Limbaugh even explained the mundanity of the actions of the investigative lawyers in regard to the guilty plea of lying to the FBI by General Flynn. He explained that the fact that Flynn pled guilty to the charge did not mean anything in relation to the Trump-Russia collusion investigation because it did nothing to advance the case against Trump himself or his campaign.
“Speculation of Flynn now cooperating with Mueller’s investigation stirred in recent days due to reports that Flynn had pulled out of a join defense agreement or common interest arrangement to share information with other subjects of the investigation,” said Limbaugh
“But there is nothing unusual about that. Once again, the lack of understanding by the drive-by media reporters — oh — Flynn’s pulling out of the joint agreement to share information, that means he’s getting ready to flip.”
“No, it meant he was getting ready to make a deal with the prosecutor, as such, it becomes unethical for the two lawyers or teams to communicate with each other when one of the people involved is going to cop a plea,” Limbaugh said.
As for the false information regarding Flynn that was provided to ex-CIA Director Chuck Wolsey by former Vice President Joe Biden, former Ambassador Susan Rice, and former Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes, this all surrounded a bogus claim of attempts to oust a Turkish cleric from the US and supposed lobbying on behalf of the Turkish government and acceptance of a half-million dollar payment by Flynn for such efforts, which had nothing to do with Trump or Russia or collusion in the election! This was provided by political strategist and Trump insider, Roger Stone.
Political operative and Trump insider Roger Stone says special counsel Robert Mueller was fed false intelligence by ex-CIA Director Chuck Wolsey, which was obtained during a meeting with former Vice-President Joe Biden, and ex-top Obama officials Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes.
Stone believes Flynn was “broken,” using a combination of false intelligence and financial pressure from mounting legal bills.
“Woolsey is projecting,” Stone says, “he was involved in the plans to extradite and kidnap the Turkish cleric.”
So even here, Stone is insinuating that it was actually the Obama administration that was directly and indirectly involved in collusion with other governments, rather than Flynn himself. Regardless, those charges never stuck, which comes back to the allegations of “lying to the FBI,” which are the charges to which he has actually pled guilty and which, as well, have nothing to do with Trump or Russia or collusion.
