Did you know that there is a “1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act?” Probably not, but then when one considers the volume of legislation created just at the federal level — legislation that remains in force, the normal reaction would be one of astonishment, of being utterly overwhelmed, of one’s eyes just glazing over. No wonder congressmen and senators have no idea what they’re voting on much of the time.
Anyway, apparently we have a crisis of excess horses and burrows running wild in western states. Enter the Bureau of Land Management and a dispute they have with the Humane Society of the United States.
Here’s the crisis in a nutshell for your consideration.

Ever heard of dog chow and elmers glue?
And this is no longer true….they have rescinded their decision for the time being.
Matthew Scroggins I know that. But I think our fellow countrymen could use it far more than the dogs. There otta be a lottery, any hunters who’d wanna participate toss their hunter ID in the pot. Only so many numbers will be called. And those hunters can do with the horse what they will. I.e. Eat it, tan the hide, sell the hair for shoe polishing brushes, sell the hooves to glue makers, sell the bones for dog treats. I mean, that’s jobs for the people who hunt and trap for a living! I’m for a prosperous America, not a prosperous government. This is our land, and We The People have a RIGHT to its resources. How dare the “government” take that away from us.
This article is a hoax, check your facts before you post. The plan never reached any higher up than the committee that hatched it.
if they do kill them all i hope they at least give the meat to poor people in starving countries, but im sure it will just end up rotten on the ground or added to the feed for cows and chickens or something sickening like that
That’s a lot of meat that could be sent to food pantries, homeless shelters, etc. Makes no sense to waste it

Here is a link to the entire article, that this is based on. Please, educate yourself. If you haven’t spent time in the west, don’t weigh in on what you think based on emotion. These aren’t “wild horses”, these are feral horses that were turned out when no longer needed in mining, farming and forestry. They have been managed by the BLM, however, when the BLM’s decisions are continuously challenged and overturned in court, at a cost of millions, what options does that leave. I see so many people throwing in the conspiracy theory against the government, give it a rest. This is serious! Read the entire article and realize that this is coming from a civilian advisory board and not the government.

I have adopted.
If the grazing was truly in danger they wouldnt be putting cattle on it. Cattle tear up grazing in that they congregate at watering holes. Horses move. Cattle have no insisors and rip grasses out of the ground. As apposed to horses which cut the grass.
There are little predators because we wipe them out including the ranchers. When they dont have hunting competitions for predators they do it off season. As in: SSS. Shoot Shovel Shut up.
Speechless, they are dirty burgers.
