Most Americans don’t know realize the costs to the nation of such a criminal justice system. We have 25% of the world’s prison population, but only 4% of the world’s total population.

Outsource, wtf, (?), over 75% of County jails and prisons are privately owned, there is big money in housing criminals, even if only for long enough to book them in and release on an OR. The Feds (tax payers) pay $1,200 per inmate per month, or per booking in most cases. And guess who the stock holders are, you guessed it “CORRUPT POLITICIANS”, and this is why they have never voted to change the Non-violent criminal laws.. Prisons are “were” built to house criminals who perpetrated violent or immoral acts against society, all others were supposed to pay a fine and probation (community service) for their non violent crimes, Congress should be investigated and prosecuted..
