New Hampshire Poll Shows Big Shakeup At The Top

Trump is still on top in New Hampshire, but his support has fallen slightly, while Rubio rises. The billionaire businessman has over twice as much support as Rubio, but the media is still calling Rubio the “biggest winner.”

Today’s biggest winners:  Republican Marco Rubio and Democrat Hillary Clinton.

In the Republican race, Trump trumps the field, with 36% (down 2 overnight); Marco Rubio is second, with 15 % (a gain of three).  Ted Cruz, third, 14% (no change). Jeb Bush, 8% (down one); and John Kasich 7% (also no change).

he rest of the Republicans are barely hanging on:

Chris Christie, 5% (down one from yesterday); Ben Carson 4% (up one); Carly Fiorina 3% (unchanged), and undecided 8% (up two)

The tracking poll measures momentum. Donald Trump is where he’s always been–on top!–but, it’s the first time he’s dropped in our poll.

This plays into the strange narrative that Marco somehow deserves more credit for his 15% than Trump does for his 36%. Marco no doubt has upward momentum — enough that Trump shouldn’t ignore — but he has a long way to go if he intends on beating Trump in the Granite State.

If he does come in a distant second, as is likely given these poll results, all eyes will be on the media to see if they are willing to give Trump the credit they’ve so-far withheld from the man who they once said had “no chance” at the nomination.

Ted Cruz has now slid down dramatically, with the assumption that the scandal surrounding his action of sending out a letter declaring that Carson was dropping out of the race when he was still in, greatly affected his perception and polling. Check out all the critizism hitting Cruz HERE.
