Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”
UPDATE: California Gov. Jerry Brown issues ineffectual, mandatory water restriction as one-third of our nation’s crops are threatened. See Page 3 for updates.
MOVE TO PAGE 2:.

Tell Nestle to hurry up and get their hands on it before regulations are enforced
Whoever shut down the rainwater collection reservoirs project should be publicly hanged. Liberal wackos
Tell 20 million people to @$%% off back to the midwest and Mexico, than California’s problems will be solved.
Its going to slide into the ocean anyways.
Desalination!!!!
No brainier.
Elections have consequences. You want to invest in high speed rail and not water storage when the population (that we are able to verify) is double what the plans for water containment in California were meant to support. You want to release billions of gallons of water down the Sacramento River in the last two weeks when that would have been enough water for 12 million people for a year, so that SIX ( that’s right six) steelhead had a chance to make the ocean. California deserves it for the politicians they elect. California doesn’t have a water shortage problem it has a water storage problem… (And an environmentalist problem)
Considering we supply over 80% of Americas produce you haters may want to send us some water for them.
Glad I dnt live there. Sucks to b u guys. Hopefully that state will just fall into the ocean..
Californians take $#%&!@*s from now on.
Damn right
