Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”

Vote for another Democrat. Brown got you folks taxed to fix it. How’s that workin out fer ya? You can always beg Colorado’s governor, he’s a demoncrap too, he might just release enough drinking water from our reserves to take care of your fishes first, then give you a drink after that. Sorry, does any one have the ability to possibly rethink their voting procedure? Most of my family(immediate famly) live in Ca. so I do have a concern. Reserves for any resource should be of intimate concern, how have your tax dollars been spent to develop and preserve what you need? Jump out of your(protective, self-described) box and start to think (a minute) ahead. As I type here I read more posts ahead of me that ridicule one of(what likes to believe of themselves as prosperous) my Nation’s 50 states for being undermined by government control. Ask(if you know who they are) your Representives, your Senators, your Goveneror, or even your City Council,,, what steps have they taken, with all your tax dollars, to prepare to capture and save any water
