Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”

I have solved the problem!!! Will everybody please direct your attention to the large body of water to the west. Simply pump water in, separate the salt from the water (filtration); distribute the water, and sell the Sea Salt commercially to cover the cost. This will also help with the financial troubles in California.

Who told you you that Californians have a lot of money! BS!!!! there are whole counties out of water. Dig wells everyone on this thread is saying…some have gone down thousands of feet and NOTHING! the government pay for drilling yea right! Not everyone has swimming pools! This drought is killing the food supply, millions of acres are fallow, so I don’t know where you are getting your news but the media is c**p and no one ever hears what’s really going on.
