Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”

Yup. The northern ca reservoirs are higher than they were last year. It’s too bad that the exceptionally talented, benevolent, inclusive, superior, nice people of the marxist kool-aid drinking left haven’t taken the time to understand that this power and money grab by Sacramento is a fraud. Yeah water is tight. Primarily because Sacramento has refused to address this sensibly for decades. Still, higher reservoirs than last year and the rain is pouring down right now.
Death Valley could cover all of southern CA and only vegeans and winebibbers would miss miss them.
