Jay Familglietti, NASA’s top water scientist, recently warned that California has only a year’s supply of water left in storage facilities and the backup groundwater is rapidly depleting. Despite this harrowing fact, California has no backup plan to address this crisis.
“California has no contingency plan for a persistent drought like this one (let alone a 20-plus-year mega-drought), except, apparently, staying in emergency mode and praying for rain,” stated Familglietti. “In short, we have no paddle to navigate this crisis.”

Your a dumb$#%&!@*!!! California population has double in the past thirty years. And they have not built one dam or reservoir. Sophisticated aqueduct system. To bad it don’t store extra water. Jerry Browns mandated drought restrictions. Came just a little to late. The voter approved initiative is also a tiny bit late. And in my state we sleep very good and we have all kinds of water. We can use as much as we want. And you give us liberals a bad name. Yes I’m a liberal. But when the right wing starts talking about an issue. I go a research the topic.
