Islamic Demands Being Rejected
It is quite astonishing and outrageous that Muslim guests would even think to demand not just acceptance of a different norm, but adoption of that foreign culture, with the ultimate aim of establishing Sharia in those nations foolish enough to welcome these groups in.
In a September 18 interview with the Swiss newspaper Aargauer Zeitung, Ivica Petrusic [vice president of Seconds Plus, a Muslim lobbying group] said the cross has a Christian background and while the Christian roots of Switzerland should be respected, “it is necessary to separate church and state” because “Switzerland today has a great religious and cultural diversity. One has to ask if the State wants to continue building up a symbol in which many people no longer believe.”
The proposal to change the Swiss flag has been met with outrage across the political spectrum and is sure to fuel anti-immigrant sentiments in Switzerland.
Sylvia Flückiger a councillor with the conservative Swiss People’s Party (SVP) said the demands are: “Totally unacceptable. With our Swiss flag there is nothing to change. The next thing you know, they will demand even more, that we change our constitution.”
Marianne Binder, spokeswoman for the center-right Christian Democrats (CVP) said: “This is just what was missing, that we need to change our flag. The Swiss flag is part of Swiss identity, precisely because it is inviting for all to want to be involved…even the immigrants.”
Stefan Brupbacher, general secretary of the libertarian Free Democrats (FDP) said: “This is utter nonsense. The Swiss cross is an extremely successful and valuable global brand. It is a symbol of success and quality. We will tightly hold on to it, out of love for Switzerland.”
The Muslim population in Switzerland has more than quintupled since 1980, and now numbers about 400,000, or roughly 5% of the population. Most Muslims living in Switzerland are of Turkish or Balkan origin, with a smaller minority from the Arab world. Many of them are second- and third-generation immigrants who are now firmly establishing themselves in Switzerland.
The new Muslim demographic reality is raising tensions across large parts of Swiss society, especially as Muslims become more assertive in their demands for greater recognition of their Islamic faith.
The ensuing controversies are fueling a debate over the role of Islam in Swiss society and how to reconcile Western values with a growing immigrant population determined to avoid assimilation.
The problem exists not just in Switzerland, but in every Western country that Muslim immigration is occurring. It is a well known tenet of Islam that Muslim immigrants are to “invade” other countries and to quietly grow their numbers until there are sufficient adherents to push for change and acceptance. It is the other side of violent Jihad, and it is happening in virtually every country that the immigrants are coming to. The demands can be subtle, such as pushing for acceptance of the burqa, even when it makes it difficult for public safety not to be able to identify someone who is driving a car or going into a store.
It is also evident in schools where there is a push for segregation of the genders, particularly in recreation such as swimming pools during gym. The darker side are the enclaves where the foreigners live and make it dangerous for non-Muslims to enter, even police. It even includes the harsh cultural norms of genital mutilation of girls, Muslim “courts” that operate as an extra-judicial system that precludes host country laws, and even goes so far as to include “honor” killings. And of course the ultimate aim is to see Sharia law instituted, presumably for the Muslim immigrant populations, but with the longer term objective of implementation for the host country in general.
One would have to ask if the system of Sharia and Islamic culture is so appealing, why are so many Muslims fleeing for their lives from the barbaric, violent countries where Islam is the forced culture in their country of origin? The West needs to wake up and recognize that this invasion is unlike any they have ever seen. Immigrants must choose to assimilate or forego the hospitality of the host country.
If Islam is the blessing it purports to be, Muslims should stay in the countries that practice it and administrate Sharia as the law of the land. Western culture has brought to the world freedom, wealth, and inclusion of all classes, and the fruits are evident for all to see. Jihad, whether violent or non-violent in its spread of Islam, should be rejected, because the fruits are also abundantly clear, and they are not enticing. And the acceptance of countless migrants coming from countries where Sharia is the norm must stop if Western civilization is to survive. Judaeo-Christian values dictate kindness to the poor, the sick, the stranger, but it should not include accommodation to the point of cultural suicide. Western cultures must ultimately decide if they will reject the onslaught of demands, or simply acquiesce and die.

Wake up Switzerland
What was the west thinking when they open their doors wide to a Political/Religious movement bent in purging the world with their Ideology by force? Only the ignorant fails to see the hidden plans about Islams sets to achieve.
I hope that the Swiss stand by their own laws and their own beliefs!! If these “ppl” want what they came from,WHY LEAVE IT??They need to go back wherever they came from! It appears that all they want is to destroy anything that makes others happy or that stands for something good!!
If you take the white cross off the Swiss flag, all you would have is blood red. Then it would no longer be Swiss. It would just be a bloody mess.
