The Obama administration has directed the military to not allow personnel to say “Christmas”, in spite of the holiday’s status as a federally-recognized holiday.
The reason given by armed forces officials is that not everyone celebrates Christmas and that out of respect for them, military members should refer to Christmas celebrations simply as “holiday”-themed festivities.
This prohibition comes in the context of a wider push for political correctness in society in general and the military in particular, as evidenced by the recent reprimanding of Navy Chaplain Wes Modder for simply discussing religion, as chaplains are wont to do, with military personnel.
See how servicemen have reacted to not being allowed to say Christmas at the link below:

Merry Christmas to all my military friends.
Tell Obozo to go to hell.
Overthrow him! Yes, I said it, Frank Lautenberg with your score in the forties….
I think they will anyway even if this is true.
Number 1, the usa is secular not a Christian nation. Number 2, Obama never said this, or signed an executive order. Stop getting info from blogs idiot.
Not saying Obama’s right to do that. But this is NOT a Christian nation. Did you forget about freedom of religion? Not only does it mean freedom to choose your own religion it also protects US from people like YOU who force their religion on us. I know you think it’s all about your beliefs but your religion isn’t the only one. If you want to practice your religion honour “freedom of religion” by letting others practice their own, otherwise you’re just being a simple minded hypocrite.
This is a Muslim leader speaking as Muslims do not celebrate Christmas! Everything that has happened and continues to happen is what you get when you elect a Muslim president as everyday and bit by bit he’s trying to turn our country into a country of Islam and he thinks we can’t see that fact but he’s wrong!
Kiss it Obamar
Who is to enforce this order ?
We wish you and yours a Merry Christmas Barrack and Michell
