The Obama administration has directed the military to not allow personnel to say “Christmas”, in spite of the holiday’s status as a federally-recognized holiday.
The reason given by armed forces officials is that not everyone celebrates Christmas and that out of respect for them, military members should refer to Christmas celebrations simply as “holiday”-themed festivities.
This prohibition comes in the context of a wider push for political correctness in society in general and the military in particular, as evidenced by the recent reprimanding of Navy Chaplain Wes Modder for simply discussing religion, as chaplains are wont to do, with military personnel.

It is such BS that the military personnel would have to follow threw with this mandate, considering this is a “free” country, they fight for our rights and our freedoms, yet their amendment right to free speech is curtailed by military order. Again I say this is BS. There is no point in celebrating a “holiday season” and leaving Christmas out of it…..it is ABOUT CHRIST…..there would be NO Christmas holiday without Christ. I am so sick and tired of seeing our rights taken away because it might offend somebody. They will get over it. Personally I am offended by Obama, but he’s still in the White House now isn’t he?
